Idaho's Epidemic of Fear: Vaccination Liberation Movement Takes a Shot at Public Health
The war over vaccinations heats up in North Idaho

A reprint from the BoiseWeekly...
by George Prentice

Ingri Cassel has turned a personal crusade against vaccinations into Vaccination Liberation. - George Prentice

Some contend that there are two Idahos. Divided by rivers, mountains and even a time zone, North Idaho has a new and possibly more potent distinction from its southern half--fear.

An increasing number of Idahoans living north of the 45th Parallel are afraid of vaccinations. For whatever reason--and there are quite a few--more Panhandle parents are opting not to vaccinate their children against diphtheria, hepatitis, measles, mumps, pertussis, polio, rubella and/or tetanus. Analysts are hard pressed to stereotype exemption seekers. They include the college educated and high-school dropouts, six-figure-salaried professionals and families requiring government assistance, uber-conservatives and left-wing progressives--all with a common fear of the needle.

But the fear of vaccinations in the north is matched only by the fear of the lack of vaccinations in the south--in particular, at the Boise office of the Department of Health and Welfare. That's where the state's top health officials have been pouring over the latest statistics on Idaho's vaccination exemptions, and they don't like what they see.

In fact, the contrasting fears may be best represented by two very different women. One, in the north, is a heart-on-her-sleeve rabblerouser who takes on everyone "from the governor on down" in her fight against vaccines. The other, in the south, may be Idaho's most authoritative voice on disease, yet she has no desire to engage in a heated debate over vaccinations.

Ingri Cassel

When Ingri Cassel walked into the Common Knowledge Tea House, a cozy used-book store doubling as a tea room tucked into a Sandpoint neighborhood, both arms were filled with anti-vaccination literature. She is usually poised to convince anyone who will listen that vaccinations are an ultimate evil. But between her promotions of alternative medicine and diatribes against the government, it quickly becomes clear that Cassel's motivations are quite personal. Within seconds of beginning our conversation, Cassel said she needed to "make one thing clear."

"First of all," Cassel said, her finger punctuating the air with each word. "I need to correct you. You need to stop using the word immunization. We don't say immunization. Vaccines don't immunize anything."

The tone had been set.

"I started doing this work because I'm not vaccine free," said Cassel. "There was a car accident when I was 3 or 4, and I ended up in an emergency room. They gave me a tetanus shot. That was the first assault."

Cassel is a second-generation crusader. Her mother, Walene James, is the author of several books, including 1988's Immunization: The Reality Behind the Myth, based, Cassel said, on her sister's court battle in Virginia, where she was accused of child neglect for not having her son vaccinated.

Cassel is the president of a group called Vaccination Liberation, which trumpets on its website such topics as: "Why Doctors are Idiots," "Vaccines Exposed: A Hidden Crime Against Children," and "Doctors Are the Third Leading Cause of Death." Cassel insisted that her group was not registered as a business or nonprofit in spite of the fact that it collects membership dues ($30) and sells products (books, DVDs and CDs).

"We don't register and we won't," said Cassel. "But I have over 500 members that have paid dues over the years."

Without divulging membership, Cassel said she has a few political allies, too, including State Sen. Shawn Keough.

"That's not exactly accurate," Keough told BW. "I support vaccines."

But the eight-term District 1 senator said she agreed with Cassel in objecting to the exemption form used by parents to opt their children out of vaccinations.

"I would never sign that form the way it's written now," said Keough, who expects to bring up the controversial issue in the 2012 legislative session.

"We have quite a bit of political support up here," Cassel said. "But we don't have support from down south. They just wallow in ignorance."

"Down south" would include the Governor's Office. In an email to BW, Cassel referred to Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter as "Butcher."

"When I called the Governor's Office regarding the vaccination exemption form, they basically told me that I'm going to get in trouble if I keep telling people how to fill it out," she said.

Cassel's organization publishes a how-to guide to alter the document. By crossing out or inserting key words, the form is dramatically altered.

For example, the document includes the following:

"I know that failure to follow the recommendations about vaccination may endanger the health or life of my child and others ..."

Cassel recommends parents alter the document to:

"I know that failure to following the recommendations about vaccination may endanger the health or life of my child and others ..."

[Ed Note: the BoiseWeekly did not show the strike out of "failure to" as we have above.]

Christine Hahn

Christine Hahn knows that--due in large part to Cassel's coaching--some of Idaho's vaccination exemption forms have been altered by parents, but she's not too worried about it.

"If a parent tweaks this form, they're going to exempt anyway," said Hahn. "They see the language on the form. They have already decided that they disagree with it. I just don't think that's a fight we're going to get into. Push hasn't come to shove on any of this." Dr. Hahn is the state's Chief Epidemiologist in the Division of Health of Idaho's Dept. of Health and Welfare. She is also a member of the infection control committees of Saint Alphonsus and St. Lukes Regional Medical Centers in Boise

Hahn said she's less concerned about words that may have been crossed out or altered on the front of the exemption form and more concerned about what parents are writing on the back.

"For the first time, beginning this fall, we asked parents to explain their personal, religious or medical reasons why they're not having their child immunized. We're going to ask the school districts to de-identify the forms--in other words, take away any names from the form--and then forward them to us. We have no desire to track anyone down, but we really need to better understand their reasoning."

Hahn spread a number of graphs and charts across a huge conference table at Health and Welfare's State Street headquarters. The one chart that stood out from the rest contained what Health and Welfare would consider some good news (Eastern Idaho's 2.4 percent immunization exemption rate, for example), some so-so news (District 4, including Ada County's rate, which is 3.3 percent), and some rather troubling news.

"There's definitely a disturbing trend up in the Panhandle," said Hahn. "We're talking about this quite a bit lately here at Health and Welfare."

Hahn's finger traced a steadily rising line representing the school exemption rate by Public Health District 1, representing Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone counties. Since the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year, the northernmost district's exemption rate has grown nearly one-third, registering 7.4 percent at the end of the last school year, nearly double the state rate of 3.8 percent.

"We're worried most about that particular trend," said Hahn. "I think we have an issue, in particular, with young parents who are too young to personally remember some diseases--for example, measles."

Hahn said she was recently at an Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting in Atlanta, where there was quite a bit of talk about measles outbreaks in Canada, Mexico and Europe.

"You've heard of snakes on a plane," she asked. "Well, what scares us is measles on a plane."

Measles and Myths

A closer look at school immunization records in North Idaho reveals the vaccination that parents choose to keep their children away from more than any other is MMR (measles, mumps and rubella).

"Even after the misinformation spread by Andrew Wakefield has been put to rest, those doubts still linger," said Hahn.

Andrew Wakefield, a former surgeon from Britain, is largely credited for creating a global pushback against the MMR vaccine in 1998, even though he was barred from further practicing medicine and ruled to be "dishonest and irresponsible" by a statutory tribunal of the British General Medical Council.

Wakefield's 1998 document presented what turned out to be false evidence that autism spectrum disorders could be caused by the MMR vaccine. Investigations by the Sunday Times of London revealed that Wakefield had manipulated evidence. But by then, Wakefield's article had swept across the world, causing MMR vaccination rates to drop precipitously.

Wakefield is not alone with his MMR infamy. Former Playboy Playmate-turned-actress Jenny McCarthy found notoriety with her book Healing and Preventing Autism: A Complete Guide, documenting her son's autism while blaming vaccinations for many instances of the affliction. McCarthy plugged her story on Oprah, the Today Show and the Tonight Show as a self-professed vaccine expert. In April, Time Magazine reported that as many as 24 percent of parents surveyed by the University of Michigan said they placed "some trust" in information provided by celebrities about the safety of vaccines.

Yet another well-known figure, Bill Gates, pushed back against claims such as McCarthy's in a February interview with CNN.

"It's an absolute lie that has killed thousands of kids," said Gates, who recently pledged $10 billion to distribute vaccines worldwide. "The mothers who heard that lie, many of them didn't have their kids take either pertussis or measles vaccines, and their children are dead today."

Ground Zero

If Idaho's Panhandle is a key target for state health officials to improve vaccination rates, the Lake Pend Oreille School District No. 84 is ground zero.

"We probably have a higher immunization exemption rate than the whole United States," said Dana Williams, head nurse for the district. "A lot of it has to do with misinformation regarding the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella. Some keep saying that MMR is supposedly connected to autism, which is bunk."

Williams is a busy woman lately. She's the lone full-time nurse for the entire district. The recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is one nurse per 750 students.

"But we have 3,700 kids in the district," said Williams. "So far this semester, I've done 360 action plans, and that's not even including our high schools. We have some sick kids here. It's everything from mild asthma to diabetes. I've been traveling quite a few miles between schools this year."

Williams said she's anxious to have conversations with parents who may choose to exempt their children from vaccinations.

"There's a lot of people up here that are, let's say, off the grid," said Williams. "But we sit down and talk with them. And we tell them that if there's an outbreak and their child doesn't have a vaccine, he or she can be kept out of school for up to six weeks. And one more thing--our school board policy doesn't force us to give the child their homework once they have been sent home. Our policy pretty much tells the parent, 'You're on your own,' even though a lot of our teachers feel guilty and send work home anyway."

Williams said her fear is even greater than her frustration.

"This is stupid. There's absolutely no reason for these exemption rates," she said. "We're going to end up with something bad happening here. People don't realize that a child can die from a bad case of chicken pox or the mumps."

Cynthia Taggart, public information officer of the Panhandle Health District, which includes Williams' school district, said the vaccination exemption rates aren't anything new to her part of the state.

"It's a mind set," said Taggart. "We have had vaccination opponents here for many, many years. It goes way back."

Taggart said the region's "streak of independence" runs through each of the many reasons for exemptions.

"Idahoans want freedom of choice in everything," said Taggart. "And, well, this is their choice. We don't argue with them, but we do tell them that their choice has consequences. That's really all we can do."

Taggart said she was quite familiar with Cassel and her Vaccination Liberation movement. In fact, everyone that BW spoke with in North and Southern Idaho knew of Cassel and her initiative.

Cassel is gearing up for a new debate, this time over Gardasil, the human papilloma virus vaccine designed to prevent cervical cancer, genital warts and some other cancers.

"It's not required in Idaho right now but they're pushing for it," said Cassel. "They're chomping at the bit to force that vaccine on little girls and boys. But if I have anything to do with it, that will never happen in Idaho. Over my dead body."

It is sad that Christine Hahn is claimed to be an epidemiologist. Epidemiology shows that 90% of the historical decline in infectious disease occurred before the introduction of specific vaccines. Epidemiology leads to the conclusion that sanitary and nutritional reforms were very important in conquering infectious diseases while vaccines were late comers that made little or no contribution to disease decline.

Why do children occasionally die with diseases, such as measles, that typically are mild? The average 90% decline cited above that occurred before the introduction of specific vaccines is part of the evidence that death is related primarily to nutritional status. Vaccines can not correct nutritional deficiencies. A child that can die of measles (or similar diseases) can and certainly will die of vaccine toxicity if vaccinated. Vaccines do not save lives but simply bring about an earlier death for the child that is subject to inadequate nutrition or poor absorption of available nutrients.

A retrospective study of over 500,000 children performed in Denmark showed that children who received the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine had a higher incidence of autism than children who did not receive MMR. Yet the lead author, an employee of the state owned pharmaceutical company that manufactured the vaccine was allowed to cover up the facts and his lie is still being repeated by unwitting doctors and public health officials.

"Choice has consequences." True, and injecting toxic materials into children's bodies is a poor choice for state funded employees to promote.

I have a great deal of information on this subject. Being an avid full time (over-time) health researcher since 1999. A great deal of information, facts and findings have been provided for me and I made time to study in depth the peer reviews, the clinical studies, medical doctor reports and work with some incredible minds in the medical and scientific health field. I'll be glad to post it for review if anyone is interested.

My primary first concern however at this moment is the vast oversight on the part of whomever this reporter is getting, putting together and reporting this article. The part of Bill Gates where it states

"Yet another well-known figure, Bill Gates, pushed back against claims such as McCarthy's in a February interview with CNN.

"It's an absolute lie that has killed thousands of kids," said Gates, who recently pledged $10 billion to distribute vaccines worldwide. "The mothers who heard that lie, many of them didn't have their kids take either pertussis or measles vaccines, and their children are dead today.""

I know being a researcher the first thing I'd ask Bill Gates is: How many are many? How many kids died of pertussis or measles were vaccinated? How many kids died of pertussis or measles were un-vaccinated?

BUT WHAT THE REPORTER REALLY MISSED IS THE REASON BILL GATES IS DONATING 10 Billion Dollars FOR VACCINATIONS. I hope you can watch this video. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, here you will have a full video shot and the words [although chilling] are plain as day.

I don't believe that parents who choose not to vaccinate are fearful. In fact, fear is what drives most parents to agree to take the shots - and ignorance due to the neglect of physicians to fully inform as well.

Those who make the choice to decline vaccinations or to vaccinate selectively generally do so after a great deal of research, discussions with health professionals and a complete family medical history to determine any personal history of sensitivity to vaccines or their ingredients. Many of them also stop vaccinating after the pain of watching a previously healthy child sicken and sometimes even die after vaccination.

These parents choose to keep their families safe through good nutrition, a clean and loving environment and natural therapies (often though not always).

Vaccines are not benign products. They are medical procedures with a broad range of adverse effects which parents should be aware of before they say yes or no. They are also not as effective as doctors would have us believe as evidenced by the current 50-year high in whooping cough notifications - most of which seem to be occurring in those who are fully vaccinated (but not protected) against the disease.

Until the government gets off its butt and does a study to compare the overall health of the fully vaccinated vs the fully unvaccinated (and believe it or not, this has never been done anywhere in the world!), parents will continue to wonder exactly what the long term side effects of vaccines could be on the nation as a whole and on their children in particular.

Today's parents are far savvier than those of a generation ago. They require real answers, not platitudes. And articles like this which try to paint these intelligent, well-informed, caring individuals in a less than flattering light simply because they have decided to make a choice which many in the mainstream disagree with, do no justice to either the community or the health of America.

My grandson Davin died 4 months after birth from his 3rd series of vaccine. Please educate before you vaccinate.

In 1983 the required Injections from birth to 6 years old was 10 shots with 30 Antigens. Now in 2011 from 0-6 years old is 38 shots with up to 140 antigens loaded with harmful chemicals, Aluminum, Mercury, Formaldehyde, Poly Sorbate 80 proven to cause neurological disorders plus injecting RNA/DNA of animals. Will your child’s DNA ever be the same?

Little Ian died 9 days later after being born as a result of a deadly vaccine HepB shot. http://iansvoice.org/default.aspx

    * Fact - Never have they done studies of the cumulative effects of all vaccine ingredients and they keep adding more vaccines to the mix.

Multiply the many preservatives, live viruses, microbes and adjuvants and what you have now is an Explosive Toxic Cocktail of ingredients injected directly into a newborn child’s blood. All of the safety immunity systems have been by passed and what has begun is the rapid degeneration of immunity setting the stage for many diseases to manifest early or later in life including the risk for the child to die in a few days like little Ian. Bottom line is that vaccines are NOT guaranteed to work. What will you do with your child to protect their DNA?

It is clear that George Prentice set out to discredit all responsible parents who refuse vaccinations, and he used Ingri Cassell to do it. This was not "news" by a responsible reporter, it was outright bias due to glaring ignorance.

Those who have actually studied the issue of vaccine safety know that public health officials, such as Christine Hahn, who blindly follow corporate vaccine policy, should be the last persons anyone goes to for credible vaccine information. The CDC, NIH, WHO, and the other organizations that are in bed with the multi-billion $ vaccine industry, use statistical lies and fear to create compliance.

Just one of many examples Is this piece, "The Truth Behind the Vaccine Cover-up", in which neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock reports on the infamous Simsonwood meeting wherein government officials collaborated with vaccine industry reps to keep secret the findings linking autism, and other neurological disorders, directly to vaccines: http://www.whale.to/a/blaylock.html Dr. Blaylock concludes, "The entire vaccine program is based on massive fraud."

This short video, "Shocking Vaccine Coverup", featuring Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. reveals just the tip of just one of the icebergs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQG5Q4GWw2o&feature=related

A 10-year study by immunologist Dr. Hugh Fudenberg revealed that 4-5 flu shots (received over 5 years) increases Alzheimers by 10-fold due to the synergistic effect of aluminum and mercury in the vaccine. A child, whose caretakers foolishly allow it, now receives 48 doses of 14 vaccines by age 6, and 100 more are planned. Autism, ADD, ADHD, and other neurological and health maladies have increased exponentially.

For those truly interested in learning about vaccines from sources not beholden to big pHARMa, an excellent primer is the updated book, "Vaccines, Are They Really Safe and Effective?" by Neil Z. Miller, as well as his book "Vaccine Safety Manual". Another source is http://www.whale.to/vaccines.html Additionally, there are many health professionals, such as Dr. Sheri Tenpenny and Dr. Joseph Mercola, who are excellent sources of truthful data.

It would be doing a remedial service for all the parents he misled, if George Prentice would actually study evidence based facts about the multi-billion dollar busine$$ he so blindly touts.

My sister had one hepB vaccine required of her to do an internship at a hospital and overnight blew up like the Pillsbury Doughboy. Every doctor in that hospital said, "It was a coincidence, it had NO-thing to do with the vaccine." OVERNIGHT, she went from being a mountain climbing, parachuting, skiing, back-catcher for a softball team to a person barely able to walk up the two steps into her house. It took her 20 years to purge the toxins from her arthritic body. My brother contracted MS from the vaccines given to him before his deployment to the Middle East. 10 shots and less than 1 week later, an avid athlete, falls over with partial paralysis. "Coincidence" I think not. My mother-in-law took the flu vaccine and almost instantaneously, she contracted Guillian Barre. From walking to a wheelchair in a wink of an eye. In each case, the doctors emphatically said, "It was not the vaccines!!" Multiply these three cases by millions of others that DO NOT GET REPORTED AS ADVERSE REACTIONS and you get the picture of just how "safe and effective vaccines" are. Message to James Gavin: Is this Dr. James Gavin, who is the clinical professor of medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana? I must say I have to commend you for taking the time from what must be a very busy schedule to post comments here.

I am aware that you have quite an extensive background in Endocrinology, Metabolism, Hypertension and Diabetes. Your record of titles and areas of research speaks volumes. These areas have also become my areas of interest over the past 14 years of study with an independent research group and even prior to that as a principle executive manager for the department of human resources, health and welfare division. Amazing that our paths have crossed.

Just so others know, Dr. James Gavin also belongs to a number of organizations, including the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the American Association of Physicians, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. And the list goes on as he has served on many advisory boards and on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Physiology and the American Journal of Medical Sciences. He is on the board of trustees for Emory University, Livingstone College, and is Trustee Emeritus for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In addition, he is national program director of the Harold Amos Faculty Development Program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Dr. Gavin is Chairman Emeritus of the National Diabetes Education Program and a past member of the Board of Scientific Councilors for the Intramural Research Program of NIDDK at the NIH. He also serves as chairman of the Data Safety Monitoring Board for the VA Cooperative Diabetes Study (VADT).

I must say it is a bit disheartening however that the schools of learning are all basically funded by the Pharmaceutical Industry, but I do know how business works and it seems as though you do quite well yourself. As past President and CEO of the company called “Microlslet,Inc.(MIIS) we do see a 700% spike in price in 2008 of the stock being traded on Wall Street. Great job! On November 10, 2008, Microislet filed a Chapter 11 petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California, which was converted to a Chapter 7 proceeding, and the case was still pending as of July 8, 2011. I believe with your many positions throughout the medical community within so many health institutes and organizations that you will have access to facts and findings that could help us all answer some questions. I certainly recognize that time must be most valuable to you but would like to ponder and propose a solution that could be most profitable and logical. We can go into that later.

For now, it would be most appreciated if a report of findings could be made. With the extensive background in Diabetes would it be inappropriate to ask you to propose that the various organizations do a quick survey with the Diabetic patients on record? Many times the information needed will already be in their medical file I would imagine.

The simple one question survey for the Diabetic patient is: Have you ever been vaccinated?

If you would like to contact me personally to coordinate this effort I would be glad to help, my e-mail is: abfoundation @ gmail.com

IF YOU ARE NOT DR. JAMES DEVIN, then this message is extended to Dr. Hahn. I will extend this message and request to you as a representative for the state of Idaho as well. It may be that you could coordinate with Dr. Devin or even start at your own state level in Idaho. This would still give you and those interested a basis for the percentages. It would be a good place to start and my offer to help in anyway I can is of course, still an offer.

Great comments!! I've noticed for quite a while that the Boise Weekly is anything but an "alternative" newspaper. It's about as "alternative" as Rick Perry or Merck!! This article, while disappointing, doesn't surprise me one bit.

It's sad that there are those with a Nazi-like mentality who have no problem forcing vaccines on the public without informed consent.

As for the comment made here about the CDC: The congressional report on vaccine safety that I read seemed to indicate that those congressmen thought the CDC was more interested in helping increase the bottom line of big pHARMa than in public health.

"Reason" magazine had an article years ago about Michael Belkin's infant daughter having died from a vaccine. Later, Michael Belkin told about attending a lecture--with a tape recorder--where a fellow, who had been chairman of the CDC's ACIP committee at the time Belkin's daughter died, was lecturing. Belkin asked him what scientific studies were used by the ACIP to justify giving infants that vaccine. The former chairman said.......Guess!!......

    There weren't any!!

This isn't about science; it's about Nazi-types who for some reason ($$$$$$$) want to force vaccines on everyone.

Think I'll go check out Michael Belkin's band, "The Refusers." I LOVE the lyrics!!!

    And, God bless you, Ingri!!

"All the vaccines, every last one of them, are contaminated." Who says so? None other than the (now deceased) head of vaccines at Merck, Dr. Maurice Hillerman, who on camera admitted that Merck's Hepatitis B vaccines, caused the AIDS epidemic in the US. He went on to say that all of Merck's vaccines are contaminated with cancer and other viruses.

Dr. Robert Bell, once Vice President, International Society for Cancer Research at British Cancer Hospital said, "The chief, if not the sole, cause of the monstrous increase in cancer has been vaccination."

Dr. Larry Palevsky, a board certified NY pediatrician, for ten years routinely gave vaccines to his patients until he noticed them losing eye contact, so he began looking into the ingredients of vaccines he had blindly trusted. He found that they are ALL contaminated with viruses that are so small they can never be removed. He no longer gives any vaccines. He now treats his young patients for autism and other neurologic injuries from vaccines.

Perhaps the highest scientific authority saying vaccines are contaminated is Garth Nicolson. He is a cell biologist and editor of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Metastasis, and the Journal of Cellular Biochemistry. He is one of the most cited scientists in the world, having published over 600 medical and scientific peer-reviewed papers, edited over 14 books, and served on the editorial boards of 28 medical and scientific journals. He is not just saying that vaccines are contaminated with mycoplasma but is warning the U.S. that they are. Nicolson goes further, saying that we are all damaged by them and contracting chronic degenerative diseases because of them.

All vaccines mandated for children and many other vaccines as well, including the seasonal flu vaccines, are contaminated with polysorbate 80, the central ingredient in a pharmaceutical industry patent to damage fertility. The pHARMaceutical industry has a long history of seeking a vaccine that would covertly sterilize populations. So, in addition to being contaminated with cancer and other viruses, and with the bacteria mycoplasma, vaccines are intentionally "contaminated" with a chemical as well, a "patently" sterilizing agent.

Beyond containing polysorbate 80 and cancer and other viruses, and likely mycoplasma, the Gardasil vaccine is contaminated in an additional way. It and all the new vaccines are contaminated with genetically engineered DNA. It, in turn, contaminate's people's DNA, just as genetically engineered crops can contaminate normal crops. Gardasil contains a man-made version of the HPV DNA, the very virus it is supposed to protect against, which now threatens altering kids' healthy DNA with synthetic DNA.

The inappropriately named Sanevax organisation had their HPV DNA in gardasil theory disassembled here:

And the issue of SV40 in vaccines was researched by the National Cancer Institute: http://www.cancer.gov/newscenter/pressreleases/2004/sv40

They found no evidence to support the idea that SV40 is associated with human cancer.

Lastly Maurice Hilleman's supposed "confession" is discussed here:

Er, sorry Dewey Ross Duffel, the study you referred to in your comment did NOT show a higher incidence of autism in children who received the MMR injections, the conclusion was actualy and I quote "We did not identify any association between MMR vaccination and encephalitis, aseptic meningitis, or autism." Read the results of the research here: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/110/5/957.abstract
You also claim the lead author, whose name is Annamari Mäkelä by the way, is an employee of the state owned pharmaceutical company that manufactured the vaccine, again WRONG! I checked Linkin and she is actualy an MD at Mehiläinen

Regarding the MMR vaccine: It's one of the vaccines made with an aborted fetal cell line. When I talked to George Prentice, I told him that I think one reason many parents are choosing not to vaccinate is because of that. He seemed to wonder if they knew about that. George!! Why didn't your article say anything about that issue? Don't you support informed choice??

It's been pointed out that the producers of cookies have to list the carbohydrate content on their product--yet producers of a vaccine that may contain residual DNA don't have to let the customer know that?? Come on! There's something very, very stinky going on in this vaccination agenda.

Also, George, I know for a fact that some of the "membership dues" for Vaccination Liberation are voluntary and donations. I've been a member for years and I've never ever paid membership dues.

I guess I am a bit confused here. I see some people, seems to be the ones suggesting that all children should receive an injection of a cocktail and those that question the fact of safety are lumped into some sort of group that deals with "conspiracy theorists"? Could someone explain to me what a "conspiracy theorist" is? I don't see where parents being concerned about the well being of their children could be considered a conspiracy.

I've been in research for a great many years, I would think that those that propose to be working to improve and protect health would WANT all available information from a plethora of sources. Seems the hands on experienced would suite that purpose the best. I believe if we see a pattern or numbers of harmed children FROM a vaccination or food source or activity that it would warrant in-depth review and consideration.

To title people "consipiracy theorists" seems a bit closed minded. So much so that factoring in human nature, it would seem those placing titles on others like this may need to open their mind to possibilities and the "what ifs" in the world. If you haven't noticed, we do not live in a perfect world, but I applaud those that are questioning safety today.

Just a look at some past figures and statistics from over a decade ago it would seem to warrant further investigation by EVERYONE. These numbers as you will see are old statistics, but if all rings true as it seems to do with growth in population and growth in numbers effected by anything, then people should be questioning the safety of everything they ingest, inject, inhale, and absorb. Look at the cancer rates how they have climbed in the last 15 years. ACS stated in 1999 that 1 in 6 people would have cancer. Four years later that number was 1 in 4. Now today it American Cancer Society states that 1 in every 2.5 people will get cancer. hmmmmmm, lets equate that growth in numbers to some vaccination statistics:

("A Pharmacist Questions Vaccines " appeared in the December 1994 issue of The American Chiropractor. Some alarming statistics were listed in this article. For example, within a thirty-nine month period ending in November of 1993, the F. D. A. Vaccine Adverse Reporting System collected nearly 32,000 reports of adverse reactions following vaccination, with more than 700 deaths. DPT vaccine was associated with more than 12,000 of these reports, including 471 of the related deaths. "The F. D. A. acknowledges that this voluntary reporting underestimates the actual number of reactions." The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) was passed in 1986, establishing the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). As of July 5, 1994, the program has paid $452.5 million for vaccine injury or death, and is back-logged with more than 2,600 claim cases--all of which will not be settled for several years. ")

AND that was in the early 90's, can we just imagine for a moment what those numbers are today? My inquiring mind wants to know what the figures are today, does anyone have those statistics handy?

In the spirit of common sense, this information doesn't give me much faith in the medical profession's preventative care program. I believe if I had a child today I would certainly question the safety of the vaccines and what each contained and how those ingredients could possibly have an accumulative effect both short term and long term, also factoring in both the child's internal and external environment. (one size could not possibly fit all)

Reminds me of something written in Carl Sagan's "Broca's Brain": "The character or beliefs of the scientist are irrelevant; all that matters is whether the evidence supports his contention. Arguments from authority simply do not count; too many authorities have been mistaken too often."

Remember, the drug Vioxx, for example, killed 60,000 people before the FDA took it off the market. Remember also that Vioxx was accepted by the M.D.s and Vioxx was recommended and prescribed by M.D.s. Much like Dr. James Gavin's Diabetes Vaccine, was selling well on Wallstreet for quite some time. And then "poof" it was gone. But it does not bring back the victims to their families.

Maybe there are 2 conspiracies, one to prevent harm and protect loved ones, and the other to make money at the expense of others? Maybe I've answered my own question about "conspiracy theories".

You understand why "The American Chiropractor" is perhaps not the most reliable source of information on immunology?

Lets be clear, the term conspiracy theorist is used because (for example) commentators have suggested that ingredients are added deliberately to vaccines in order to sterilise parts of the population...

Information is widely available on the potential side-effects of vaccines:

    http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/side-effects.htm

It is also available on the potential outcomes of vaccine preventable disease:

    http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/whatifstop.htm

(For example: Diptheria will kill between 5 and 10% of those afflicted, whereas the DTaP vaccine has an approximately 1 in 1000000 chance of causing a severe reaction - note that severe reaction does not necessarily equal death).

I would also recommend the following article which discusses the use of the word 'research' in this context.

First, we all agree that Ingri Cassel believes that vaccines should not be mandatory, Secondly, public health officials and pharmaceutical companies believe that vaccines should be given to everyone. They call this "herd immunity" which begs the question: If vaccines worked, why do George Smith's children have to be vaccinated to protect Henry Jones' vaccinated children?

Oh my..., Oh my.... I think the moral of the story here is to stay away from Northern Idaho completely till a epidemic clears out all the "non vaccinated" out. Its funny how the extremes in ideology have no concept of how to tell what is a legitimate web site and/or research project. It was difficult and I will have to admit I didn't look at all the sources (because i wanted to throw up) that were presented, but I did not find a single source that was cited in any respectable journal article when I searched in EBSCO Host. As a word of advice when you try to cite a work, try to find something that is not bias or from a website such as www.vaccinesarebad.com. Because I read on www.yourestupid.com that 10 thousand people thought you were an idiot and believe you me, they know because someone told them so.

You want to say that Bill Gates is for population control I would agree with you, and to some part, so am I. What makes you think that we are any different than any other animal on this earth? When the population of any species gets to big, it's not to long before they start dying off. But that doesn't mean that I or Bill want to go out and kill babies to stop our species from growing. How about the idea of being responsible for our actions and stop being morons. You people probably are the ones that think the more kids you have, means that you will inherit some outer space world with all your children. Please, PLEASE! Keep your brainwashed close minded views to yourself, till you have some sort of evidence besides "I know" and "my brother's sister's cousin twice removed had...".

And just do a search for Andrew Wakefield that should be enough for now but oh wait you think or at least according to your website you think he is a God. The man who was found to be a fraud, good job.

All these researchers listed above put out this information because they hate children and want to profit off killing babies, and if you believe that then you are an idiot.

I do have enough faith in the human race to believe that families can use their own logic if given enough information which provides them a desire to learn more. The messages back on forth on here, although quite familiar and expected, will most certainly be eye opening enough for people to read between the lines. My question still remains and the answer has yet to come.

How many people being diagnosed with Diabetes have been vaccinated?

Seems simple enough and most likely as always I will continue to seek that answer and eventually find it. I walk among the sick and afflicted on a daily basis, one need not go far to find a vaccine injured child or adult, or one that is suffering with diabetes, with cancer, with pain and other afflictions. So far I still see that common thread among them.

I pray that the Light will shine and provide you all a path to the Truth (whatever that may be). My heart truly goes out to those in the following video and sincere appreciation of the energy and information they provide. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJsEEXDGAsk&feature=player_embedded

  26. This article contained numerous factual errors and misquotes. Since the material used in the article allegedly came from a recorded interview and email, I can only assume that the recording malfunctioned and email clarifications got lost. This is sad since I had made myself quite clear that I would be available to George Prentice for any clarification he needed for his article when we met on October 25, 2011.

1.The Idaho governor's office never warned Ingri Cassel or anyone else about telling parents that they should alter the state issued exemption form. To the contrary, this was even encouraged by the health department and the governor's office. What my point to the governor's office was the violation of Idaho statute – I.C. 39-4802 where it states clearly that a statement from the parent or legal guardian objecting to the required vaccinations is all that is required; not an incriminating state exemption form. I was telling parents to NOT fill out the state form and submit a signed statement instead as required by law and used up until the current school year. It was this advice that the governor's office warned me about, referring to the new Admin. Rule requiring a state form as Administrative Law and Administrative Code. 2. Senator Shawn Keough has never been an ally of Vaccination Liberation. However, as she stated, she agreed with me that Idaho Admin. Rule 16.02.15 was in violation of Idaho statute and she plans to address this during the coming legislative session. 3. The quote attributed to me about using the term immunizations for vaccinations is also not accurate. A more accurate quote would be, “We do not use the term immunization for vaccination since immunization comes from the word immunize which means to strengthen immune function and vaccines do just the opposite; they weaken immune function.” 4. Ingri Cassel is not the president but the director of Vaccination Liberation, an association dedicated to providing information on vaccinations not often available to the public so one can make the only informed choice, complete avoidance and refusal. Our board of directors considers our volunteer efforts a form of tithing. What little money comes in is spent on websites, mailings, copies and literature. We are not a business but an all-volunteer network comprised of members who receive benefits from our collective efforts to provide educational materials and assistance in obtaining legal exemptions to state and employer vaccine mandates. This collective and all-volunteer effort does not require state approval nor registration with the state. 5. Proof reading errors occurred when showing a suggestion on how to change an incriminating statement on the state exemption form. 6. The article ends with a quote that claims I said “over my dead body.” This is not something I would say in this context. I was speaking about the December 2010 and January 2011 Minutes from Idaho's Immunization Assessment Board where it is clear that a couple members are anxious to have the FDA approve HPV vaccines for boys. Gardasil was to be purchased for our state over Cervarix due to a better price for a large quantity purchase. This was mentioned since the FDA had just approved HPV vaccines for boys and the CDC added it to the recommended vaccine schedule.

Prior to the interview, George Prentice assured me that the Boise Weekly was an alternative newspaper and was independent from corporate control. So imagine my surprise when I saw the rehashed propaganda about Dr. Andrew Wakefield after I had given him ample information that contradicts what he decided to parrot from corporate news outlets. We suggest that the next time The Boise Weekly covers a controversial issue, the assignment be given to a reporter that has accurate recording equipment, a history of doing their homework, and that a second reporter come in to double check for accuracy.

It should be noted that Vaccination Liberation members are liberated from fear – the kind of fear promoted in this article through statements allegedly made by Christine Hahn, Bill Gates, and Dana Williams. By understanding how the body actually works and how to effectively treat all manner of diseases, we are liberated from the fear that grips adherents of the vaccine religion.

After reading several of the comments from firm believers of the vaccine religion, it is clear that our freedom to choose what is best for ourselves and our progeny somehow threatens them. What we don't get is how this can be so if vaccines are as effective in disease prevention as they are purported to be.

And why is no one in the pro-vaccination camp addressing the lack of a controlled study of totally unvaccinated children compared to vaccinated children? Without such a study, all the medical journal articles cited prove nothing since the former editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Marcia Angell, wrote THE book divulging the corruption of the peer review process in medical journal articles being published today. Her book, The Truth About the Drug Companies (2004), speaks volumes for anyone interested in reading.

I do understand that there is a need to be protective against things that harm you, but association does not mean causation. We as humans like to make things all about us. We live in a society that only cares about me, myself and I. If you put all those things together, you really don't see anything other than that. If 1 in a million was to die from a vaccine, you would worry more about that than 1 million dying from some kind of outbreak.

Perhaps the previous poster would like to read the links in my last post (given that they explain very clearly why, despite the effectiveness of vaccination, there is a threshold for what percentage of the population needs to be vaccinated in order to provide sufficient protection).

As for controlled studies, although a single study cannot provide definative proof (rather the weight of research over a period of time, with replication being of particular importance, provide evidence to support or refute a hypothesis), there have been studies of those who have been vaccinated vs. unvaccinated (for example):

    http://www.aerzteblatt.de/v4/archiv/pdf.asp?id=80869

    It's conclusion was:

"The study adds to the existing evidence about vaccine safety and efficacy. As expected, the study showed a significant increase in prevalence in unvaccinated children for the diseases for which vaccines exist. Furthermore, it did not show any increase in susceptibility to other infectious diseases, or atopic diseases, in vaccinated children therefore contradicting the hypothesis that vaccines overwhelm childrens’ immune system."

However, the issue is rather more thoroughly (and entertainingly) dissected here:

The anti-vaxers have twisted Bill Gates's words to fit their own agenda. That's how they roll.

Gates is saying, and research confirms, that when parents are confident they won't lose children to disease, they will have fewer children. This doesn't work in all cultures, but it holds in poor countries with a long history of high child mortality rates. Other factors that contribute to lower fertility rates are maternal education and career opportunities, and availability of contraception.

Gates is not saying vaccines sterilize women, or kill children. That's ridiculous. And the anti-vaxer wonder why they are continually mistaken for crazy conspiracy theorists.

You are very correct about Bill Gates. Like I said he isn't for killing people with vaccines he's for the use of controlling the growth of the population. The whole topic of his presentation was about the growth of C02 production and people are part of the problem. He never once said lets all kill everyone, but was merely presenting the equation of CO2 production in a factual bases. He also said we need products that don't produce CO2 but you don't hear people saying he wants to ban all trucks and cut out campfire s'mores. How about looking for a solution for our children's children? Is that to much to ask for? Apparently so.

It doesn't matter how many times you show someone they are wrong, they will always say they are right. I guess to some point that is a good thing because you have a balance trying to find a middle ground. In this case it is starting to get out of control. The pendulum has swung back the other way. Non Vaccinators want to say that it is their right and freedom of choice. It is my right and freedom of choice to believe it is dangerous and neglectful to put a child in danger for a 1 in a million odd. It seems like you should play the Loto if you're going to be that lucky.

"Immunizewisely" says it is the scare tactics of the vaccination camp, but what do you think you're doing with scaring people with you're 1 in million. I guess that means you have a chance right? But you also have a chance of disabling and/or killing other peoples children with your misinformation, and yet you still can't find a journal article in support because you say they are bad. Good Job

In my first post, I referred to an article in the libertarian magazine, "Reason," which told about Michael Belkin's infant daughter dying from vaccination. It's "Shots in the Dark," by Sue Bevins, July, 1999:

    http://reason.com/archives/1999/07/01/shots-in-the-dark

It's really amazing that anybody still considers the CDC/ACIP to be a reliable source of information on vaccines.

Several years ago, there was a congressional investigation of the safety of mercury in vaccines (which supposedly has been removed or reduced). While I don't have the investigation info in front of me, I read it when it came out, including the congressional report.

During Congressman Dan Burton's questioning of one of the officials defending the vaccination agenda, Burton asked, "You mean to tell me that the only study done (on the safety of mercury in vaccines) was done in 1929 and everybody in the study died?"

Yet, obviously, to the CDC/ACIP crowd and those who worship them, this is good "science." No problem at all.....

Say: To any of you pro-vaccination folks responding here, do you know of any scientific study--even one--addressing the safety of residual DNA in vaccines (via the use of aborted fetal cell lines)? If so, I'd surely like to be informed about it. I'm not aware of any.

The people who believe in vaccines for themselves and their families are free to have them. Why do they have to arrogantly push their views on others? For sure, Michael Belkin and his band, "The Refusers," have it right: This is a Vaccine Religion, which demands blind faith and abhors critical thinking.

It's been pointed out that federal mandates for vaccines are "A violation of the Nuremberg Code in that they force individuals to have medical treatment against their will, or to participate in the functional equivalent of a vast experiment without fully informed consent."

Again, God bless you, Ingri Cassel, and the rest of you who are defending human rights.

Wow you guys really should take a research class so you can realize what is a credible source is. Like I have asked before where is the FDA files that incriminate them, where is there any proof out there besides the opinions of so called quack MD's. You continue to provide information that is testimony of so called reactions, you continue to provide information that holds Andrew Wakefield in a God status but in reality has been found to be a HUGE FRAUD. He set out to prove something and he did so with false information; the same that you are providing.

You give praise to people that are marred with the inability to see anything other than what their mother set out to do in the 70's. Someone that is so closed minded she herself will not allow others to have an opinion on factual information. You call vaccines blind faith but you, yourself must have the greatest blind faith on a belief based on lies and bias motivations.

You are correct that it is your choice to have vaccines but you should be making that choice for yourself not innocent children that could be hurt from Polio and countless other diseases that are easily prevented. You demonize vaccines You are so consumed by conspiracy and cover up that it rates up there with Tom Clancy and Harry Potter. You play at the heartstrings of people in hopes to conjure fear, spite and deceit. I would gladly change my view of vaccines if you could and haven't been able to provide anything other than testimony and quack "doctors".

You "bless" those that defend "Human Rights". What human right is that by the way? How about "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." Yet you would deny a child that by allowing them to be crippled by Polio or Measles. You will not be protected by "herd immunity" when everyone around you is not vaccinated. You're right we shouldn't care about what you do with your life, but when I have to foot the bill for your doctor bills when you get sick, don't look surprised when people tell you "told you so".

Well as to the question for me on whether medical journals could all possibly be full of 100% fact I have to say the "jury is still out on that one" but recent reports have pointed in the direction that no, some journals seem to change gears over the years so more study is needed there.

For me I put more faith in the facts that are backed up with current live events, statistics, numbers and reports of actual facts and findings. I live in California and have not been keeping up on health issues in Idaho, so don't have the info on the pertussis count there in Idaho, maybe Dr. Hahn could be of some help there with pulling together the number of cases. Most likely any extension office or county weed board would have reports of any sprayed areas or quarantined areas if there are any in Idaho.

This study is for California: http://harpub.co.cc/whoop/index.htm

I did find some errors, well rather omissions from some of the know proven side effects of the Gardisol vac on a link provided here on this comment board. If you go to the link and scroll down, you'll see the listed side-effects. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/side-effects.htm#hepb

Correction to a previous post: On April 11, 2011, Dr. Poul Thorsen, the Danish vaccine researcher (a psychiatrist by training) was ONE of the key researchers who has been closely aligned with and funded by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), was indicted by a federal grand jury on 13 counts of wire fraud; 9 counts of money laundering; and for allegedly stealing over $1 million from CDC funded autism research between 2004 and 2008. US prosecutors are seeking to extradite him from Denmark.
Dr. Thorsen's research on autism is widely known in academic circles, where he was a highly respected figure. His extensively quoted paper, known as "The Danish Study,", is the cornerstone for the claim that the autism-vaccine connection has been refuted. He has been charged with stealing the money over a four-year period, while serving as the "principal investigator" under a CDC grant, for a program that studied the relationship between autism and exposure to vaccines. He is alleged to have submitted a dozen false invoices for research expenses, using the proceeds to buy a home in Atlanta, two cars and a Harley Davidson. Prosecutors seek Dr. Thorsen's extradition from Denmark.
The Copenhagen Post reported: Each count of wire fraud carries a maximum of 20 years in prison and each count of money laundering a maximum of 10 years in prison, with a fine of up to $250,000 for each count. The federal government will also seeks forfeiture of all property derived from the alleged offenses.
The case was first reported by Robert Kennedy Jr. In March, 2010, in The Huffington Post. Of note, in sharp contrast to the media frenzy about the debarment of Dr. Andrew Wakefield, the major news media have been silent about the criminal indictment of Dr. Thorsen. When a researcher is indicted on criminal charges--for fraud, falsifying documents, and theft--the integrity of his published research is now under a cloud of suspicion. Thus, an audit of Dr. Thorsen's research data by an independent panel of scientists is called for. So far, the parties that should be interested have not assigned even a non-independent panel of scientists to check the data, although a researcher I know has done a thorough analysis of it here - http://www.vaclib.org/news/table1.htm

There are two peer-reviewed medical journals that are not blatantly controlled by pharmaceutical interests. Both are published in the U.S. One is the quarterly journal of American Physicians and Surgeons http://www.jpands.org/
The other is no longer in print but had fabulous, well-cited peer-reviewed articles http://www.medicalveritas.com/

And if anyone trusts the FDA regarding product safety and wants citations from the FDA regarding vaccine safety/licensing, reading Byron Richards mind blowing book could possibly change your mind (but not likely) - Fight for Your Health: Exposing the FDA's Betrayal of America.

But then again, we have found that pro-vaccine zealots are not content with taking vaccines just for themselves. You see, the medicine they take won't work unless they force me and my children to take it, too. Their herd immunity theory keeps changing from 80% coverage to 90% coverage and soon to 99% coverage since they can't seem to explain outbreaks of "vaccine-preventable" diseases among populations who have 98% vaccine coverage. And what no one seems to want to address is why there appears to be no genuine interest in doing the only real scientific study proving both safety and efficacy -- a controlled study comparing the health of a group of totally unvaccinated children with a group of children vaccinated with all of the ACIP recommended vaccines.

But, thankfully, many families are sharing the health and vitality of their unvaccinated children with others in their respective communities. Now that the current recommended vaccine schedule will have Johnny receiving up to 140 vaccines/antigens by the time he is 6 years old, assuming he is a "low risk" child, the health comparison of Johnny to his unvaccinated peers is becoming quite obvious. http://www.vaclib.org/intro/howmanyb4six2011.htm

But it doesn't stop there. Cradle to grave injections are now recommended. For the recommended schedule for teenagers, go to: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/child/7-18yrs-schedule-pr.pdf

I am here. I have already had Measles, Mumps & Rubella. I am alive, unscarred & NOT dead from NOT receiving these vaccines. Why didn't I? Simple THEY DID NOT HAVE THEM when I was a child. These "diseases" are usually easily went through with a mild fever & a rash. They SHOULD NOT kill any child. But with the lack of vitamins & nutrients in our food thanks to GMO toxic waste they are calling food no one can fight normal diseases. Now as for "safety" of these? Please EVEN THE CDC HAD AN ARTICLE ON THE POISONS & TOXINS IN THESE VACCINATIONS and now plan to do "more studies" Meanwhile doctors push the vaccines & people watch their children become autistic after extreme fevers from vaccines. NO THANK YOU POISON IS POISON & does NOTHING for childrens health.

The question has been raised here, several times, about how many people with diabetes were vaccinated. I think we should find out. We should probably also ask how many of them drive cars, watch television, or eat cereal for breakfast. It makes about as much sense. This one of the basic tenets of statistical research and science that the antivaccine camp seems consistently to ignore (or misunderstand). Correlation does not necessarily equal causation. For one thing, there has to be a plausible biological mechanism by which one could cause the other. For another, there has to be a reasonable proven relationship between the two. Simply noticing that they both happen is not a basis for making any kind of claim about a relationship. It's kind of like saying your husband must be having an affair with the woman down the street because they both leave for work at the same time.

QUOTE: "It and all the new vaccines are contaminated with genetically engineered DNA. It, in turn, contaminate's people's DNA, just as genetically engineered crops can contaminate normal crops. Gardasil contains a man-made version of the HPV DNA, the very virus it is supposed to protect against, which now threatens altering kids' healthy DNA with synthetic DNA."

Genetically engineered crops contaminate normal crops when they cross-pollinate, a form of sex. I think you have the wrong idea of how the vaccine is administered. (Hint: Not by sex.) What is given via sexual route is the HPV virus. Ask any woman with HPV-caused cervical cancer how they feel about you wanting to promote such a disease.

ANOTHER QUOTE: "The simple one question survey for the Diabetic patient is: Have you ever been vaccinated? "

An even simpler survey for the Diabetic patient: Have you ever drank water? Surely, it's water what's given them diabetes.

See, there's this science called epidemiology where stupid questions like yours are refuted. You don't ask only the cases, you also ask the controls, those without diabetes. Then you compare the proportions of cases and controls who've had the exposure (e.g. vaccines). Time after time, in study after study, independent and not, the proportion of diabetics who have received one or two or all vaccines is the same as the general population. That is, vaccines are not associated with diabetes.

Seriously, educate yourselves... You're making people with actual tinfoil hats looks reasonable.

Guess the medical journal citation game is one that people like to play even though the evidence is all around us for those who have eyes to see.

While thimerosal has not been totally removed from vaccines (part of manufacturing process; still in trace amounts in mercury-free vaccines...), the high amount of aluminum in vaccines should be of even more concern to parents.

Couette M., et al, "Long-term persistence of vaccine-derived aluminum hydroxide is associated with chronic cognitive dysfunction", J Inorg Biochem. 2009 Nov;103(11):1571-8. Epub 2009 Aug 20. Abstract online here - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19748679

There is quite a LOT of research connecting the addition of aluminum hydroxide in vaccines to the epidemic of neurological disorders in children. When thimerosal was "removed", it was replaced with aluminum hydroxide. For instance, a baby at the 4 month check up can receive as much as 1,100 micrograms of aluminum through the vaccines injected. Links to multiple sources citing accumulation of aluminum in the body from vaccines coupled with environmental sources (food, water, beverages, air) are here http://www.vaclib.org/links/a.htm#alum

As for diabetes, I'll never forget the case of my husband's sister who insisted on getting all the recommended vaccines for her son and then at 11 months being airlifted to the hospital. It was determined that he was diabetic! The poor boy is now an insulin junkie.

One thing that the vaccination advocates seem to conveniently ignore is that vaccine injury is being misdiagnosed as child abuse. A growing number of physicians around the world are very concerned about this.

Keep in mind that when you hear about someone being accused of having caused "shaken baby syndrome" or "blunt force trauma" to the head, that this injury could, in fact, be from vaccination. And the mainstream medical community is completely ignoring this. I suppose it would be very difficult for them to admit that they--not these falsely accused "child abusers"--are responsible for many of these cases of injury and death to children.

Courageous physicians who have speaking out about this include Dr. Patrick Barnes who is one of the top neuroradiologists in the country.

In Sept., 2000, "Redbook" had an article about this problem entitled, "Was It MURDER or a Bad Vaccine?" "It's a question that is tearing families apart, as prosecutors blame parents for the short-comings of common vaccines."

This article reports: " 'I cannot understand why Malcolm Scoon was found guilty,' says Patrick Barnes, M.D., former chief of pediatric neuroradiology at Boston Children's Hospital. 'I've been looking at injury to the brain for 22 years, and in that time, I've reviewed a lot of child abuse cases. This was not one of them.'

"Instead, Barnes and others are convinced that Scoon is among a growing number of parents who are unfairly blamed for the side effects of vaccines given to millions of American babies each year.

"It is a shocking trend, one that alarms both government officials and medical professionals."

In the article, "Ethical Issues in Imaging Nonaccidental Injury: Child Abuse," in the journal, "Topics in Magnetic Resonance Imaging," Vol. 13, No. 2, 2002, by Dr. Patrick Barnes, he says:

"The radiologist must be aware of certain conditions that are known to have clinical and imaging features that may mimic abuse....These include accidental injury, certain coagulopathies, vascular diseases, infectious or postinfectious conditions (e.g., postvaccinal), metabolic disorders, neoplastic diseases, certain therapies, and some congenital and dysplastic disorders...."

He then relates a case where an infant became ill after the DPT vaccination, the father attempted to revive his child by " 'shaking,' " and then the child was given CPR by the father and by "the rescue team." Retinal hemorrhages were present at the ophthalmologic examination, there was subdural hemorrhages, and more.....

Dr. Barnes says that "The evidence was consistent with a hemorrhagic meningoencephalitis, likely postvaccinial...."

The father was convicted of abuse.

As for convictions in cases of "blunt force trauma to the head" where there are supposedly fractures, something to keep in mind is that some of these aren't skull fractures at all but separated suture lines. The skull is not one bone, but a series of plates that are connected by lines called sutures. Babies' sutures are not fully hardened and when their brain swells--like from a vaccine-induced encephalitis--it puts pressure on the sutures and "separates" them. This shows up on radiographs as a fracture. Most raiologists aren't skilled to notice this.

report Yea, I don't tout myself as highly educated in your area of expertise, but am willing to learn what I can. Like most families with children, we don't have all the answers but we definitely want to know what options are available and if there is a question as to why some information hasn't reached the general population. (a question all into itself) There are millions still consuming aspartame. Now how does aspartame calculate into the cocktail mix of whatever is contained in these vaccines?

"My daughter was readying to move one day and we were doing cleanup. Bottles of chemicals and cans of aerosols flooded the counter. I took to the task of cleaning the oven and basically the whole kitchen. A garbage pail stood behind me, the oven to the right and the sink to the left. I grabbed the paper towels after the Easy-Off had done its work proceeded to wipe out the bulk of the sludge, tossing it into the pail behind me.

I discarded the crumpled aluminum foil that had been resting in the bottom of the oven into the pail. I proceeded to the cabinets and counters. After spraying down and scouring with Awesome I wiped up the thick residue with paper towel and chucked them into the pail, turning back to begin rinsing the sink, I was startled by a harsh burning smell. Turning around to the pail I say a bright white smoke bellowing from the trash. Instinct I suppose from the blasty smell made it impossible for me to take a breath of air of which I really wouldn't have wanted to anyway, but it was if my throat and entire respiratory system just stopped functioning. It was short lived as I reached the door and tossed the smoking trash pail into the yard I was able to take in a breath of air from outside."

Do you have proof "positive" that adding a cocktail of ingredients into a child in which their immune system is obviously still developing and they have let's say just chewed a stick of sugar-free gum and drank a diet soda, would not possibly experience some chemical reaction within the body or the cells themselves?

That is another study that would be great to see if you have it do please share. But back to the Diabetes subject for a moment.

Report, you stated "You don't ask only the cases, you also ask the controls, those without diabetes. Then you compare the proportions of cases and controls who've had the exposure (e.g. vaccines). Time after time, in study after study, independent and not, the proportion of diabetics who have received one or two or all vaccines is the same as the general population. That is, vaccines are not associated with diabetes."

Could you please post a couple of those many studies here for those that may like to see them, I know I would. Those studies may answer my question, and I would like to read the facts and findings. I suppose it is never to late for more education right? :)

Just like Dr. James Gavin, and the research that was provided to drive the stocks up on the Diabetes Vaccine technology, some research just doesn't prove to be sound. Would be nice to know how those clinical trials and studies went for the subjects. I bet some of those stock holders are pretty upset about all that too.

Sometimes it is far better to research the researcher that to rely on the research itself.

Just sayin' from a common sense approach.

It is perhaps telling when the provision of evidence to support ones beliefs is seen as a 'game'.

WHO have a good discussion of the issue of MMF here:

    http://www.who.int/vaccine_safety/topics/aluminium/questions/en/index.html

    Q3 in particular:

"It has been suggested that vaccination and localized MMF lesions might be associated with a multi-system disorder. However, the linkage of MMF with a multi-system disorder has been suggested by comparing an unmatched population of similar patients who underwent biopsies of the deltoid muscle and patients with the MMF lesion suffering from diffuse muscle pain. However, the prevalence of MMF in the general population is not known, and the patients studied were not matched with a control group - a necessary step to rule out confounding factors and other possible explanations."

And in Q4 when talking about the current state of research:

"Initial results support the idea that MMF may represent a simple marker of vaccination with long-term persistence of aluminium at the injection site and local inflammatory response to it, without other symptoms or consequences."

The reference is also rather comprehensively discussed/debunked here:

    http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2011/12/and_global_warming_is_caused_by_the_decr.php

    ...

Hunting for the cited article in Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism was frustrating until I realised that its title was in fact:

Clustering of Cases of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus Occurring 2-4 Years After Vaccination is Consistent with Clustering After Infections and Progression to Type I Diabetes Mellitus in Autoantibody Positive Individuals

    http://www.reference-global.com/doi/abs/10.1515/JPEM.2003.16.4.495

However this paper also from 2003:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=AbstractPlus&list_uids=12612250

    This paper from 2005:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19471677

    And this paper from 2008:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16282928

All support the position that the benefits of vaccination are far greater than any risk they might pose.

    ...

Correlation does not equal causation but the desire to seek an explanation for tragic events (such as the unexpected lose of a child) can lead to a phenomenon known as "effort after meaning".

Having something tangible to blame ones misfortune upon is far easier to bear than accepting that bad things sometimes just happen.

The problem is, confirmation bias is pretty much inevitable when you've already decided on a cause before you go looking for evidence.

WHO lay out a very detailed explanation of how causality should be assessed:

I do believe that parents should have that choice to either:

    Immunize NATURALLY or Get Vaccinated

The first question we should be asking ourselves is:

    Why Do We Get Sick?

The simplest answer is that we get sick because our immune system has weakened.

But why does our immune system weaken?

People get sick when the body lacks the proper nutrients to sustain a strong enough immune system to ward off viruses when they attack the body, allowing colds and flu to terrorize the body. It is scientifically impossible for the body to contract any disease when its immune system contains enough of the proper nutrients.

Scientifically, colds and flu are just another sign of a deficiency in the body, but not a deficiency of a pharmaceutical drug or a flu vaccine. In this case, it is a deficiency of calciferol, metabolite, and amino acid.

Research has found that by using these in the correct form, colds were defeated within 2 hours to 2 days without adding to the body's Proteolytic enzyme bank. Research has not been published regarding swine flu (incidentally, neither have the ingredients of the vaccinations they are encouraging you to take), but this same science should apply.

Why do Insider Doctors and Scientists warn against flu vaccinations?

In the 1976 swine flu outbreak, many who were vaccinated developed permanent nerve damage (over 4,000 cases reported). Flu vaccines can contain many harmful materials, such as: detergent, mercury, formaldehyde, ether, and many even contain some live flu virus. Is this what you want to put in YOUR body?

How does a healthy immune system protect you?

Here's the way they work. You contract a virus. The nutrient calciferol breaks down the cell wall of the virus. that leaves it open to destruction by the body's immune system. The "warrior" cells in the body attack and engulf the virus, rip it into pieces, and carry it back to the liver, where all toxins are processed. The "warrior" cells (like Macrophages, T-cells, etc.) are rehabilitated in the liver and sent back out to work again. The destroyed virus is flushed out of the body.

The body is repairing itself every minute, every second, and every millisecond of every day. The spillage, or overflow, of the amount needed for repair is used to create hydrogen peroxide in the blood (yes, hydrogen peroxide). This substance kills viruses immediately on contact (that's why you use it to clean out a wound). It also assists in the increase of the population of disease destroying white "warrior" blood cells, which engulf and rip viruses into pieces. When we are experiencing stress, or fatigue, that overflow goes toward overcoming and neutralizing the bad effects of stress.

If the body doesn't have enough enzymes and metabolites to keep these immune factors at its peak, we get sick. (As a side note: "Vitamins" D and C are NOT vitamins. They are metabolites, and as such can morph to destroy viruses.)

What does the body need to boost the immune system?

Doctors and Scientists recommend a minimum of 3,000 mg of metabolite, 5,000 i.u. calciferol, paired with 3,000 mg of amino acids to avoid colds, flu, or any other pathogen. That's it!!! (If you already have one of these, increases the amounts by 1 gram metabolite and 5,000 i.u. calciferol per hour, up to 50,000 i.u. per day...possible side effects - diarrhea. If the symptoms of the illness are gone in a few hours, continue the minimum daily amounts to keep the body's immune system prepared. If the illness isn't gone in 3 days, your medical care provider will want to know.)

CALCIFEROL - The calciferol is in a specific, but erroneously named, form called Vitamin D3. 90% of the population is deficient of this metabolite. Researchers have eliminated the threat of flu with 2,000 i.u.'s of Vitamin D3 daily, but it takes a few months to get the amount up to the healthy level of 65 nanos/mL in the system (flu occurs at about 15 nanos). Note: it is recommended that Vitamin D3 should NOT be consumed with Vitamin A (Retinol form) in order to receive the full benefit of the nutrient in the D3.

METABOLITE - The metabolite is buffered mineral ascorbate - the same form originally created in the body, which no longer exists there. This is essential to the repair of the collagen matrix, which is the glue that holds the body together. It's most basic form is called Vitamin C, and is also used in diabetes reversal. Scientists recommend a minimum of 3,000 mg per day.

AMINO ACIDS - The amino acids are lysine and proline in an exact ratio. Doctors discovered that the spread of all pathogens within the human body are blocked by a scientific minimum of lysine, but it takes a little while to get the level needed up to 1.1 lbs./150 lbs. of body weight. (Lysine is the component drug companies COPIED to prevent the spread of herpes, cold sores, and shingles.)

    What do you do next?

After countless hours researching doctors and scientists discoveries, many of whom are Nobel Prize winners, the simple answers have been discovered. By adding calciferol, metabolites, and amino acids (in the proper proportions) to your body, colds, flu, and other viruses can be easily eliminated and prevented.

(that is where research dollars and marketing (outreach) need be done, in my personal opinion)

BUT for those that put their faith in man's ability to be 100% in his alchemy practices they should be allowed to make that decision to vaccinate.

All most people want is the Truth, especially when it comes to the well being of those they (we) love and care for.

As for me and my house, we'll just go with what and how God created the body to work, he seems to be 100%, consistently over ALL time. (and He works for no corporation) Since we learned about how to immunize naturally we've had no need for cough and cold medicines, no trips to the emergency room with fevers, no ear aches and no need for tubes in the ears; No allergies or respiratory problems which means no inhalers and loads of medications. (Been there done that)

As for the suggestion that Vaccination can somehow mimic Shaken Baby Syndrome:

Interestingly, the article, entitled, "DTP Vaccination or SBS?: The Role of Irresponsible Medical Expert Testimony in Creating a False Causal Connection", cites the case of Malcolm Scoon.

Regarding the reference to "quack doctors": About 23 years ago I read an article in "Health Freedom News," entitled "The Criminal FDA," written by a Texas physician with whom I was not familiar, Dr. Ron Paul.

In that article this physician wrote: "In the past, the FDA has jailed some practitioners as 'quacks.' But what is a quack? That's someone who adopts nontraditional methods, and therefore, threatens the medical money monopoly."

    There is no panacea:

This review article on Vitamin D Insufficiency was published in January this year:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3012634/

They conclude that Vitamin D supplements can reduce the risk of fractures and falls. In addition, the authors note that although toxic affects occur at much higher doses than recommended, the potential risks of kidney stones, vascular disease, and fractures with high-dose vitamin D regimens are unclear. The conclude that "Until more data from RCTs are available, a healthy dose of skepticism should be maintained regarding the other health claims for vitamin D."

I can certainly see why it was hard for Mr. Gavin to find reference to the Diabetes - vaccination link. There is very little out there. I did however appreciate the Clustering of Cases of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus Occurring 2-4 Years After Vaccination is Consistent with Clustering After Infections and Progression to Type I Diabetes Mellitus in Autoantibody Positive Individuals
       report he posted

    http://www.reference-global.com/doi/abs/10

That study does give the objective, the methods, results and conclusions and the option to purchase the full study for only 40 bucks.

However the links you shared to the PubMed at the NCBI site were about as helpful as the subject matter in high school debate class. No facts, no findings, just rants and opinion from someone. Please spare me this ridiculous "mumbo jumbo". If this is the sort of abstracts and reports of discovery which are used by the medical community in the ever persistent goal of vaccinating every child on the planet and we are expected to believe those abstracts are a summation of studies evidenced as science (?) please peddle your wares elsewhere.

So all can make easy reference to what I am addressing. Mr Gavin earlier posted the following links to supposedly set our minds at ease as to not only the question of the safety of vaccinations but that they do not contribute to later diagnosis of other diseases such as Diabetes. Here are the links. (I must say "laughter is the best medicine" at this point of the discussion.)

From Mr. James Gavin: "However this paper also from 2003:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?c

    This paper from 2005:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1947167

    And this paper from 2008:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1628292

And Mr. Gavin sums it up by saying "All support the position that the benefits of vaccination are far greater than any risk they might pose."

Mr. Gavin, the statements in those so-called "papers" you posted are made in support of vaccinations but there is no science based evidence to support what they are saying. I still do not find ANY scientific evidence that vaccinations do in fact prevent anything but instead I find more questions as to the possibility that vaccinations may contribute to other illnesses.
