It's hard to believe that enough time has lapsed to successfully erase from the collective memory the disaster of smallpox vaccination a hundred years ago. Jock Doubleday wrote a letter to the two men behind the public health policy push for stockpiling quantities of smallpox vaccine at public expense, in an attempt to stop this insanity with the public's trust. I saw your interviews on ABC, today, regarding public health policy and particularly the push to create and warehouse 40 million additional doses of the smallpox vaccine in New York City.

I hope you and your colleagues will consider reading any of the following books before recommending that such measures be taken:

3. "Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and Effective?" by Neil Z. Miller;

4. "Immunization: The Reality Behind the Myth," Walene James;

5. "A Shot in the Dark: Why the P in DPT Vaccination May Be Hazardous to Your Child's Health," by Harris L. Coulter and Barbara Loe Fisher;

6. "Vaccination and Immunization: Dangers, Delusions and Alternatives," by Leon Chaitow;

7. "The Sanctity of Human Blood: Vaccination is Not Immunization," by Tim O'Shea, D.C.;

8. "Vaccination: 100 Years of Orthodox Research shows that Vaccines Represent a Medical Assault on the Immune System," by Viera Scheibner;

9. "What Every Parent Should Know About Childhood Immunization," by Jamie Murphy;

10. "Immunization: History, Ethics, Law and Health," by Catherine J.M. Diodati.

These books unanimously conclude that vaccination not only does not do what it claims to do (prevent the spread and occurrence of disease), it is detrimental to the human species in myriad ways.

Regarding the nonefficacy and detrimental effects of the smallpox vaccine in particular, please see the below:

"Official statistics from many countries indicate that smallpox (and other communicable diseases) were declining before vaccination programs were enforced. This may be attributed to the sanitation reforms and nutritional teachings instituted around the mid-1800's. For example, water supplies were protected from contamination, streets and stables were cleaned, sewage was removed, and food was delivered while still fresh. However, once smallpox vaccinations became mandatory, deaths from the disease steadily increased. In fact, records in several countries show that nearly every contagious disease-plague, cholera, measles, scarlet fever, dysentery, whooping cough-except smallpox (kept alive by mandatory shots), declined in number and severity on its own."

(Jenner himself admitted that smallpox was relatively unknown before he began his vaccinations. In fact, there were only a few hundred cases of smallpox in England at that time.) After more than fifteen years of mandatory vaccinations, in 1870 and 1871 alone more than 23,000 people died from the disease. In Germany, over 124,000 people died of smallpox during the same epidemic. All had been vaccinated. In Japan, nearly 29,000 people died in just seven years under a stringent compulsory vaccination and re-vaccination program. Compare these devastating figures to Australia, where the government terminated compulsory vaccinations when two children died from their smallpox shots. As a result, smallpox virtually disappeared in that country (three cases in fifteen years)." (p. 46)

"Every examination of the facts indicates that the smallpox vaccine was not only ineffective but dangerous. Undoctored hospital records consistently show that about 90 percent of all smallpox cases occurred after the individual was vaccinated. " . . . There is a direct relationship between the percentage of babies vaccinated and the number of smallpox deaths: the higher the percentage, the greater the fatalities. In other words, deaths from smallpox tumbled only after people refused the shots [see Figure 1 below]." (p. 46)

Encephalitis: From Disease and Vaccines
Inflammation of the brain (encephalitis, encephalomyelitis, encephalopathy) has been documented for more than 200 years in the medical literature to be caused by . . . vaccines containing altered viruses and bacteria. . . . The vaccinia virus used by Edward Jenner in 1796 to prevent smallpox was found to cause acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) within one to six weeks of smallpox vaccination estimated to occur in 1 in 5,000 persons. Smallpox vaccination has also been reported to cause a slow, subacute persistent viral infection that can emerge years after vaccination (Adams et al, 1972) and end in death. (The myelin sheath that encloses many nerve fibers helps the transmission of neural impulses, and if the myelin sheath is damaged through traumatic injury, metabolic disorders, toxic insult, viral or bacterial infection or vaccination, it can cause degeneration or demyelination). Dr. Morse and Dr. Tucker, a few persons have suggested that, if one is against vaccination, one is therefore "for" epidemics. It seems to me that these two positions are not linked as opposites. That one is against injecting poisonous substances into the human body does not mean that one desires the spread of infectious disease.

Nor do I believe there is compelling evidence that vaccination does what it claims to do, which is to prevent the occurrence and spread of particular diseases. In fact I believe that there is significant and compelling evidence that vaccination gives the opposite results.

The key to disease prevention, as Pasteur's colleague Bechamp so clearly showed, is to keep the terrain of the human body healthy. Germs no more cause disease than flies cause garbage.

I hope you will consider the possibility that what is taught in medical school about vaccines does not correspond in any meaningful way with unbiased scientific research on this subject.
